They truly mean custom
Often when you hear the words “custom home”- it actually means picking from a menu of options. With Westman Premier Homes, they truly mean custom. From the beginning to the end, we made decisions and they made it a reality with no compromise on quality. Their attention to detail and responsiveness made us feel at ease throughout the build, and know that we were in good hands. We couldn't be happier with our home and our relationship with our builder. Building a home is stressful, but with WPH - they make it as smooth as possible for the customer.
The quality of workmanship is outstanding
We chose Westman Premier Homes to custom build our new home. This being our first custom build we had a lot of questions. The staff at WPH was extremely professional and prompt in dealing with all our questions. No detail too big or small to be dealt with. The design knowledge and product knowledge of the staff was very helpful in making our custom selections. The quality of the workmanship in our home is outstanding. The entire process, from start to finish, of building our home was a very pleasant experience. Westman Premier Homes exceeded our expectations. We would certainly recommend them to others thinking of having a home built.
Everything is done correctly, no shortcuts
We hired Westman Premier Homes to build my husband and I a custom retirement home in June 2016. After signing the contract and starting our project, I noticed three main things: 1. Customer Focus. This team of professionals made us feel very special, like we were their "only" customer. This feeling has remained in place the entire year of our build process. Their main focus was to please and do everything in their power to satisfy the customer. This experience was stress free and yes, we are very pleased with our new 2600 sq ft bungalow. 2. Quality: Attention to detail was excellent. Their company has many trades people who work project after project and ensure everything is done correctly, no short cuts. Quality is at the top of the list. This includes management of project, materials, knowledge and quality of work. 3. Communication: Website is shared detailing with pictures, daily logs of progression. Everything is shared. Honesty and organization are clearly important to this company. Deadlines were met and we remained on budget; only exception would be "extras" we incurred due to finishing materials we had wanted that was beyond the budget.
Building with WPH makes our home stand apart
I built a walkout bi-level with Westman Premier Homes this year. It was a very smooth experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone building in Brandon or surrounding area. Being a realtor myself I see lots of homes everyday and I can say that building with WPH makes our house stand apart from other builds in terms of quality of construction. Our experience building with Westman Premier Homes was a pleasurable one. Our home has quality workmanship and materials, and it shows. All of the staff were very helpful and responsive, and still are today. The communication between trades and our general contractor was very impressive and made the build progress very quick and efficient. We are very satisfied and feel we made a great decision choosing to buy a Westman Premier Homes house - I would highly recommend them to anyone.
They made it happen
We approached the Westman Premier Homes team with a rough idea and a description of our needs and they transformed our dream into reality.
From the drafting process, to breaking ground, and all of the finishing touches, things progressed smoothly. As first time home-builders, we were unsure of what to expect, but we were guided through that process: all of our questions were answered quickly and professionally. No matter how imaginative our requests were, even if it had not been done before, they made it happen.
Our team meetings with Westman Premier Homes kept everyone up to date and on the same page regarding decisions and progress. With busy lives and a young family, they worked with our schedule and made things appear effortless, though we knew behind the scenes they were working tirelessly for us. Our project manager, Scott Bromley, was available even after hours and weekends to meet on-site to accommodate our schedules.
We would recommend WPH to anyone considering a custom build.
Everyone's home build should be like this
People say building a house is scary. Well, I think that bears, spiders, and white-water rafting are scary/ The only scary thing about the house build was how scary fast it all happened. We had been wanting to build a house for a while but had been sitting on a lot trying to decide which way to proceed. We knew we didn't want a cookie cutter house, but we also knew we didn’t want to have to sell any vital organs just to be living in a new home. Then, what I thought was a birthday prank, was really a golden opportunity to work with a fantastic group of people to help build our dream home. Late November 2016 was when our family brought out the shovels to break ground for our new home. Now I said that building was not scary, it is however a bit stressful. Many, many decisions need to be made in a timely manner that can be both difficult and overwhelming. This is where WPH played a crucial role in helping us. We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted, but we needed WPH to help us put our ideas onto paper and make it happen. Joe wanted a house that was warm and well insulated with lots of natural light. This resulted in a non-traditional approach to building a raised bungalow, and Scott designed a plan to build the floor within the walls of the house. Joe wanted a massive garage with in-floor heat, LED stone panels, and a butcher block countertop. I wanted a ‘his and hers’ floating vanity, a wood-burning fireplace, and a walk-in closet. We both wanted open space that was functional for our family to grow in over the years. We both wanted efficiency coupled with practicality, and I wanted to showcase a bit of modern flair and vintage touches. Personalized touches such as cork flooring that is ergonomic and warm, in-floor heat under the tile, and a free standing bath tub, vaulted ceilings, solid surfaces such as Corian in the kitchen and bathroom for cleanliness, stone to balance the warmth of the fireplace were requests that WPH was able to incorporate into the house while staying on budget. One of the key things that I noticed right away was the attention to detail by everyone. Weekly meetings and walk-throughs of the house provided both transparency and an opportunity to talk about things directly with Scott, while Myriam diligently took notes. Daryl is the most attentive foreman that I have had the opportunity to work with. The “little things” that he would note and mention to us, from the layout of the fireplace, the position of electrical outlets, to the black interior doors, gave us the opportunity to evaluate and make informed choices. Another thing that I was impressed with from start to finish was the camaraderie between the WPH staff and all the sub-trades. Stellar project management is one thing, but skilled professionals working together for a common goal is a spectacular thing to watch in motion. This build felt like team work to me, not like individuals working on the job. Some crews were so efficient that I didn’t even get a chance to meet them because their time on site was so short. I do feel fortunate that I got to meet many new people during this build. I enjoyed bringing coffee, pulled pork, and perogies because without these hard-working people this build could not have happened so successfully. For me, I also felt special gratitude to the people who we knew prior to this build, Darcy, Jason, Chris, Aaron, Steve, Joey B. We know they do a quality job; not just because they are great people, but they are truly skilled at what they do. Even though this was an incredibly fast build, the safety of the staff was not compromised to adhere to a schedule, and for me this was a very important detail. Even though I'm writing this prior to completion, I feel that everyone’s home build should be like this. Exciting, a bit stressful, but ultimately satisfying – having a vision and seeing it come to fruition is a great feeling.
Renovate the basement to modernize it
We would highly recommend Daryl, Lauren, all the trades and Westman Premier Homes to anyone looking to renovate or any work. When we were seeking quotes, we knew very quickly that working with Daryl and Lauren was going to give us what we wanted and as mentioned the design work with the quote was a defining moment in our decision of who to select as our contractor. We are very grateful for the experience and final product that Daryl and Westman Premier Homes have provided us.
